House Of The Dragon shares competing Green and Black trailers ahead of season 2
House Of The Dragon House Of The Dragon:

It may be time to pick your favorite teams for March Madness in our world, but in the fake, better world, another showdown is heating up—literally. House Of The Dragon’s Team Green and Team Black are flying back to both King’s Landing and our television screens on June 16 to battle it out for the Iron Throne, and all must choose which side they’re on.

That includes viewers like you. Max dropped not one but two new trailers for season two of the Game Of Thrones spinoff today, one for each opposing army. As a refresher, Team Black refers to those who support Princess Rhaenyra’s claim to the throne, while Team Green supports Aegon Targaryen, the son of the late king Viserys and Alicent Hightower.

While season one spun its wheels a bit at the beginning introducing us to its massive new cast of Westerosi kings, princesses, and dragon riders, season two promises action right from the jump. When we last saw Rhaenyra, she was a woman-turned-battle-ax, reeling from the death of her son, Luke, at the hands—well, mouth—of Vhagar, the largest dragon in the world, and its rider, her half-brother Aemond Targaryen. Now the war has truly arrived, and from the looks of it, House Targaryen is going to more than earn its “fire and blood” mantra.

Even though House Of The Dragon is returning to Max sooner than initially expected, we’ll still have to wait a while for the return of some of our other favorite HBO shows due to the strikes this past summer. (That means, sadly, no White Lotus or The Last Of Us until 2025.) But if a whole Targaryen civil war isn’t enough, there are a boatload of GOT spinoffs still to come. You can also check out the original Game Of Thrones showrunners’ newest show, 3 Body Problem, which premieres today on Netflix.
